Coach Jacob has been fantastic with our seven year old, and we're looking forward to many more lessons with him!
Private Hitting & Fielding Lessons
One hour, $80, and it covers the bat and the glove. We combine them on purpose, so one hour covers the bat and the glove.

A 7-year-old and a 16-year-old get different lessons
It depends on the age, and the lesson changes with it. With kids around 7 to 10, the goal is a position that sets them up to succeed: hips back, hands in a good spot, on the toes instead of the heels. We teach them to load and pick up the front foot, and we drill only the mechanics they can repeat. We tell them to see how hard they can hit the ball, then see how hard they can hit it and stay balanced.
Somewhere between 8 and 12 a switch flips and a kid becomes coachable. That is when we start on fundamentals, hand position, and an approach in the box. From about 13 up, contact is a given and the work turns small: maximizing power, efficient hands, and the spin you put on the ball. The adjustments get tiny and they matter more.
Fielding comes in the same hour
Ground balls, footwork, and the body-to-feet connection we build in the warm-up. A kid who can get through a ladder drill on instinct finds the ground ball easier too.
What does it cost?
A 7 or 8 year old does better with the half hour, and we will say so. The half hour is the right session for most younger kids.
What parents say after private lessons
He sees where improvement is needed, but also is sensitive to a child's motivation and morale. I highly recommend him!
Our 14u player considers Jacob a great coach, enjoys working with him and has gained a lot of confidence.
